defunding help

Help me make sense of this:
we cut services for the poor
on the basis of documented abuse of the system.
So abuse trumps use.

But then we don’t cut what corporations receive
on the basis of their perceived value to the system
in spite of their documented abuse of the system.
So use trumps abuse.

And we won’t regulate guns at all
even in the face of consistent, documented and deadly abuse
because we want people free to use them.
Use trumps abuse.

So it’s only in the case of the poor
that abuse trumps use?

How is that not morally reprehensible?

    1. not sure the House Bill will get through Senate, but I’m going to send Andy Harris a copy of the Bread for the World statistics and a copy of what I wrote. may try and identify others who voted against the poor and do likewise.
