Home is what we know—
what we all, for better or worse, know,
and what we, knowing,
(a) suspect constitutes a larger truth than our experience of it,
(b) expect as the culmination of life and faith,
or (c) reject for deep down knowing
it has not been as it should be.
Deep-down knowing, in other words,
beyond suspicion, expectation or rejection
what home should be—
that home should be.
