Stella, a second grade friend of my daughter’s,
told her that when everyone else in the house finally falls asleep,
she gets back up,
turns on the music,
and dances all night long.
Her mom assures us this is most definitely not true.
In fact, we adjusted our girls’ bedtime
after hearing how early Stella goes to bed.
Stella’s mom knows, as do we,
how important sleep is to little girls.
Stella’s is the better story though.
“After everyone else goes to sleep,
I get back up, turn on the music,
and dance all night long!”
Scripture writers, I believe, knew well
that truth is always important …
but that sometimes, so is the better story.
